I just received the article from the journalist who interviewed me yesterday!! It will be in de paper in the Netherlands today or tomorrow... Just a piece from the article:

my wife and i just decided to count all the elders that were deleted in our kh in recent years.
we couldn't believe that we counted .
upto 10. there are more deleted elders in our kh, than there are elders.
there were 4 elders deleted from my congregation 2 years ago.
they were all in their 60/70's and were deleted because a young couple were getting married while the husband was not free to marry according to one (younger) elder. the other elders didn't agree, because his ex had a boyfriend accotding to his children, but that was not enough evidence.
whrn they were deleted, after the meeting you could only hear people cry and hugging each other out of grief. they were elders for a long time and much loved within the congregation.
because of all this my dad had a stroke and i decided i could not pretend anymore and never went to a meeting again...
i homeschool my son, he has just been accepted into the local community college in the dual-enrollment program.
he scored higher than average for english and slightly above average on math.
i don't homeschool because of the 'worldly' kids at the school.
I don't think it is legal to homeschool your children in the Netherlands, so I went to school when I turned 4.
I loooved school! Was very happy to get to play (read: boss them around ;-)) with other children.
Not participating in Christmas and 'Sinterklaas' was a pain in the ass, but i kind of enjoyed it making something different than the rest of the class. When everybody was making christmas decorations, I was happy to make up my own projects... :-D

i guess it is hard in the ministry for jw's in the netherlands. no growth here though. i am not sure how the numbers are now, but we used to have -1?? procent in 'growth'. and the people that join the cult are mostly women (single mums from the dutch caribean or surinam) or wacko's. :-p

this is something that has always bothered me.
as a born-in jw i was raised as a little girl wearing skirts and dresses which is clearly quite normal in terms of gender-appropriate clothing.
however, the older i grew, the more i realised that all jw women and girls wore skirts to meetings and when out in fs, but would wear trousers in their everyday life.
I don't understand the skirt policy either...
But I do like to wear skirts. I usually wear high waisted pencil skirts or tight dresses Mad Men style...
I just ordered this dress... Soooo cute!
